For my visulization and animation projects, i want to create a 'zoo' themed board game environment. The aim of the game is for the animals to escape the zoo. In order to do this, the players will roll a dice and move their token (animal) around the board accordingly.
So, how am i going to incorporate this into both projects? And what do i need to do?
Ive done sketches of some of the animals that i am going to model. At first i thought about giving them a 'cardboard' appearance, but i thought the animations would suffer and wouldnt look as good. So im going to make them in as low poly 3d models, and give them a cartoony look. Heres a pic of the first elephant token i made (but will probably scrap) and my start on the full 3d elephant.
For the animation project, ill focus mainly on the animation of the animals depending on time. For the visulization project, ill focus mainly on modelling and texturing within the board game. My next main task is to design my actual board.
Ive got a feeling there will be a few late nights working on this............!
